Well, he's from Buffalo.

Did you see that Hooter's is now open in Thailand? They were recruiting/opening soon advertisements at the Phuket and Bangkok airports when I went through last summer.

Are those the guys down in Mexico on Spring Break chanting "Build the Wall?"

What do you have against corn and fake crab sticks on pizza?!

Don't worry - I'm from LA, and grew up eating Mexican at places where Spanish was the main language on the menu and then English was printed below in smaller typeface. I also grew up eating wet burritos.

There's a great IHOP that's been re-purposed into one of Roy Choi's (Kogi Truck fame) brick and mortar restaurants - A-Frame in LA.

Prior to the molestation accusations, I acquired the love of cooking from the Frugal Gourmet. I don't actually remember cooking anything he demonstrated (or even from one of the 3 cookbooks of his I own), but just getting home from school and watching him prepare food for 30 minutes while I did my homework gave me the

An all syrup squishy!?

I'm fine with MSG in food (seeing as how I live in Asia, I really ought to be) - but I know a lot of the higher end Chinese chefs view MSG as a cheat - to meld flavors for a lazier or less talented chefs.

It didn't really turn amazing until the writers realized that Bart was a terrible star.

A black-eyed, beat-up suburban dad in handcuffs would be a better choice for President right now.

Coffee shop is shorthand for "half Afghanistani/half regular diner Walter's in downtown Claremont. I also haunted Wolfe's Market and the record shop that Ben Harper's mom owns"
