Mount it under the rearview mirror. Run the cable up by the mirror, under the roof lining and across to the pillar, then down into the dash. Most cars have decent sized holes there, and you can easily squeeze the cables through. Buy a fuse tap, find a fuse that will work with the dashcam and plug it in.
