I’m finding more and more that the quality of the commentary is the most important factor in how enjoyable these playthroughs are. If you missed it, wait for the video of tonight’s Shovel Knight race for a great example.

There are many zoos and aquariums that do valuable conservation work as well as educating the public that results in better stewardship of wild spaces.

2 is my favorite of the series, but the gameplay as been vastly improved in Syndicate. You could also start with Black Flag, which is amazing.

Syndicate is mostly a standalone game in the series, so it would be a fine jumping off (in) point. It pretty much avoids doing any modern day story beyond a few framing style cut scenes.

Or start with Assassins Creed? While people over-mystify that the Ezio collection is the best, I say start where it started. You’re going to miss the lead up to Ezio Collection by a full game.

Syndicate has the simplest gameplay of all the games so it might be easier to start with. You’ll have no idea what’s going on with the minuscule modern plot, but don’t worry since part 3 no one really knows what’s going on. Personally Syndicate was my second least favorite of the series. Angelic Layer is a guilty pleasure of mine. One of the most precious little gems of CLAMP, I watched it as a teen along with Magic Knight Rayearth, Chobits, Tsubasa Chronicles, xxxHolic and X and despite its simplicity it still has a special place in my heart, next to MKR.
