Vets are cool till you have to reimburse them for the services they provided you.

The reason they’re going after the VA is simple - there’s too many donors that want to privatize part or all of it so they can get in that sweet sweet money.

the USPS and the VA are 2 of the most successful agencies that this government ever created and for decades have been under attack by the the right.

I used to work for a guy like him. I would do hours of analysis, come up with charts and graphs so that even a toddler could walk their way to the right answer and he would end with: “No, that doesn’t seem right.”

Just remember - this is a man who went bankrupt selling steaks, football and gambling to Americans*…

“We should never hire a stupid president again, for any reason, from any party.”

I mean sure, but there is exactly one (major) party that does it repeatedly.

I am dead serious:

I don’t even do anything in the field of contract law and this is so basic it’s laughable. This is Contracts 101.

You think he has the discipline to answer sensibly, if not keep his mouth shut?!

No, that’s not how it works. You’re not empowering them to do things on your behalf without your knowledge. They have an ethical obligation to keep you informed about a matter. That would include them binding you to a non-disclosure agreement. Any lawyer not wanting to get brought up on ethics charges would obtain the

They do. Lawyers are attorneys. When you hire a lawyer, you’re empowering them to act as your attorney.

If that’s what she did that makes her the smartest person in that room.

I don’t think it would be automatically void. Your lawyer has power of attorney, which means you give them authority to act on your behalf.

If your lawyer paid a porn star $130,000 on your behalf without telling you then why would he still be your lawyer?

It was definitely unintended. The lawsuit is crafted such that any answer he gave would result in consequences. That is why he’s been so quiet for so long.

Trump is a liar. He lies about everything.

When Cohen’s lawyer let it slip that Trump didn’t know anything about this NDA or the $130k payment all of the lawyers out there chimed in that he was an absolute moron because if true it would mean that the NDA was essentially voided AND that Cohen had committed fraud and could face disbarment.

Just an internet commenter, not a lawyer, but doesn’t that make the NDA null-and-void because Trump didn’t sign it AND didn’t know about it? Can you forbid someone from talking about something on the behalf of another party?

If he didn’t know, the NDA is dead. Or rather, it never was.

Well, on the other hand she did all she could to dodge talking to the students at Stoneman Douglas High....
