Fucking little whiny mra babies. Are they the snowflakes people keep talking about?

If they tried this campaign in somewhere like Thailand, they could be firebombed...

I would be annoyed if I was in a Burger King ad too. They have terrible food, even by fast food standards.

Yep, that happened.

That’s right. Because what a bunch of men think is how one defines “brilliant’.

Seriously, take your petty distaste for her and fuck off out of here.

A lot of orchestras hold “blind auditions”: hopefuls play behind a screen, with the process arranged so that no hint of their gender presentation or race reaches the panel. These orchestras suddenly found themselves hiring people other than white men - even though they’d honestly believed they hired on merit alone.

It’s interesting how she framed these remarks in terms of the impact of watching 20 films in a short period of time. I was on the jury for a film festival a few years back (a small, local festival, basically the opposite of Cannes), and the process made me realize how much violence against women is a default narrative

At 46 she’s directed 6 features (most of which fall somewhere between warmly received and critically acclaimed) and Bill Murray’s Christmas special. And she has an Oscar. And now is only the second woman in the history of Cannes to win best director. She’s doing alright.

2 women in 60 years. 0 black women. Not sure how many black men. When does the “gradual process” start?

Nobody needs to bring their A-game to fuck with a woman who puts jade up her vagina. You don’t even have to bring your B-game to do that.

That’s the problem, she always seems to think she’s the victim. I don’t think it’s ever occurred to her that she’s complicit.

I’ve been making it a point to read and find out more of each of the victims as they are named. I was reading through Martyn Hett’s twitter, a young man who tragically was lost, and he gave me an unexpected laugh this morning:

Manchester person here, ITA. I just posted a thing about the vigil in Albert Square at 6. x

Yup, in France they arrested roommates/family/neighbours for the 24/48hour limit while they investigated - which is perfectly understandable, given this is one of the few potential ticking clock style situations.

The police also tend to arrest anyone they can get their hands on. Didn’t they arrest a dozen people in response to the Westminster attack and then eventually release them all?

In this case, people said that because early reports said it might be a transformer or generator that exploded, not a bombing. Brits are fully aware that terrorists can be white—this, as far as I know, is the first terrorist attack in Manchester in 1996, and that was by the IRA.

I have little sympathy for a man who spent his life killing animals for sport with no intention of using them for food or resources.
