Well, yeah, but this doesn't seem particularly well done. Shur-Fine vanilla is fine in a root beer float, but there better be some damn good root beer.

Well, when the plot sucks too…

Also: 13 episodes. You should have enough time to have some really spectacular stuff when you have over a year and only 13 episodes.

I like it, while recognizing it's highly unrealistic/choreographed, but I can see why you'd have a preference. But it was definitely watchable fight choreography, which Iron Fist seems to be…not so much.

And the salmon ladder!

Yeah, I haven't finished the season myself but I know some people had complaints and didn't want to pretend I knew what I was talking about, heh.

Thank you!

The thing that has surprised me about the critical reception so far is that all three seem to be lacking.

All three at least had strong pilots, though! And action that wasn't vaguely embarrassing.

It's kind of jarring that they don't seem to have bothered with, like, anything from Immortal Iron Fist, which is basically the only thing people talk about when they talk about Danny these days.

Eh, it's also that every single Marvel show (with the debatable exception of JJ) has gone on too long and dragged in the back half. There's literally no reason for optimism when it sucks right out of the gate.

So the actor will learn martial arts or at least how to fake them by episode 7?

I hope it gets better because I think America has a lot of potential and I'm excited that Prodigy's in it.

Tell me more about StarHammer!

Truth.

I thought they nodded to [spoilers] but then basically shut them down. Plus Barbara is at least closer to Bats' age.

Yeah, this feels completely different than the last preview, which felt very copy-and-paste. This is actually fun-looking.

The historical dolls have been and remain overwhelmingly white, though—to my knowledge, there are no Asian historical dolls at the moment.

Agreed on the A story. I hope they'll go in on the colorism more deeply in a future episode—that felt more like testing the waters.

With no insurance!
