Yes, I know those students. They turn up in my sewing courses that I teach for casual adult education, because I’m serious and put solid fundamentals of sewing into my students’ fingers. The stories I’ve heard about “sewing instruction” in many fashion courses makes me want to weep.

Thanks for posting that. It sickens me that this is common enough there are four known “flavors” of family murderers. I guess women have an occasional Andrea Yates situation, but all I can think of right now is all the misery men visit on women/children BECAUSE THEY CAN. Sigh.

Yeah, Born are a little heavier and some of the styles are a bit... Special. I have a soft spot for them because of a pair I bought ten years ago... I do have quite wide feet with high arches, so if a brand’s last suits my feet it’s likely they won’t suit many feet.

I haven’t tried Tieks but have changed my thinking about shoes over the years. I don’t mess with the cheapie shoes bought twice a year or yearly now.
