There are little walking slabs in the stones so you don't have to walk on them. I like to a bit sometimes. It's nice, almost like one of those zen garden things. (The little cobblestone areas that are laid out in circles... The name escapes me)

It is and I'm grateful every day... Our last place had a kitchen about and eighth of the size of this one! I like to cook from scratch and make soap and also confectionary, so this kitchen is a dream for me.
Yeah, the only way I can do it is because that’s how mother was and it was drilled into me from birth. It’s harder not to. ;)
No, because I’m religious about using cutting boards, plates and serving bowls. Food doesn’t go on my counters. Ever. If something spills, I get it up immediately. Yes I have a kid. That’s my own preference, aside from the little bubbles.
I like the floors in my current bathroom. River rocks around the shower and tub, with paths. I thought it was super weird when we moved in, but pleasant. Now I adore them. There's drains beneath the rocks so I can spray them clean. Dust and whatever hides in the rocks, I don't need to sweep very often for it to look…
I like looking at that hideous pink and green kitchen but if I had to work in it, I'd end up lying curled in a ball on the floor due to sensory overload...
That it's boring and ugly and shows every little hair and fallen skin flake?
Thanks. It’s ok now. The school was the best really, they granted me extensions and accepted me in acute care for the campus psychs.
That is so, so gross but sadly unsurprising. PEERS, people!
Yep. Agreed.
Agreed, but it's understandable. Lyme disease sufferers are commonly disregarded by the medical profession when symptoms arise, especially if the sufferer doesn't have the tell tale bulls eye welt from the bite. Plenty don't get it. Lyme patients often have the experience of feeling their health recede while not being…
It is sad. I feel like the way to end it, mitigate the pain caused by victim blaming culture is to share the way things really are. It was reading story after story after story like mine in Jez comments that brought me more peace than years of therapy. Something about the evil mundanity of the shared experience was…
My brother went to Baylor. He was such a dude-bro. It makes me laugh to think that Baylor had so many rules like that on the books while he was there. The Baylor crowd I knew was way, way more wild than the kids I knew in Austin who went to UT, an evil liberal public institution...
Agreed!
Yes, I did leave that ambiguous. I mean representative of the United States population, not the prison one. That would definitely be a shit show. But I’m thinking this is the type of thing naturally inherent in human nature. All humans. (Or at least the vaaaaaaaast majority. Yes, you. And me.) I think it could be an…
Agreed, but it’s double-edged. It does both what you say, and also serves to re-inforce stereotypes about “the criminal classes” for the elites, who prefer to think of the poor as thugs, criminals, and leeches.
JD Salinger, is that you?? #holloywoostarsandcelebritieswhatdotheyknowdotheyknowthingsletsfindout I like it. I think the show would be halted early though, like the real experiment. Which would be perfect for creating the kind of shock/watershed moment we need in regards to incarceration.
I can see that but I do think a fair amount of that could be mitigated by a very good host.
I think that with disclosure and agreements, as well as “red lines” which will call a halt if crossed would be alright. I mean, there’s reality shows for naked dating on deserted islands, this isn’t so outre really.
