There are little walking slabs in the stones so you don't have to walk on them. I like to a bit sometimes. It's nice, almost like one of those zen garden things. (The little cobblestone areas that are laid out in circles... The name escapes me)

The former owners of my house did these dyed poured concrete countertops, polished. I love them so much. They’re indestructible and inoffensive, were poured with gently waved edges to give it a little softer feel. I decided I’m going to have them in my next kitchen, though I might tweak the dyeing.
