I still maintain my original belief, that he bought the app to wrestle control over a large platform of people online, is responding to fawning bigots and autocrats by turning it into a safe space for him, is trying to leverage it for power by doing things like “trying” to launch Ron DeSantis’ campaign, and is doing

Well he can always get a job in America.

There’s no “getting used to” the official app. It’s utter junk. You can’t find what you want because your feed is stuffed with spam, ads and suggestions filling 8 out of every 10 items.

The protest wasn’t about charging for the API but the excessive charges and expecting everything to be in place in four weeks

Do you not see the issue that replacing the good mods with shitty mods is bad for a website that is essentially built on the backs of said mods?

If it were actually that I would be sort of impressed.

But it’s really just that most of the billionaires are idiots that either lucked into their money or inherited so much they couldn’t fail, and being put in charge of anything was always a bad idea.

For a site that runs on free labor, removing said free labor sounds... stupid?

I get why companies prefer to just do their own thing now, but E3's demise does make me a bit sad.
