My job is to test jet engines in flight, and we’ll shut them down and restart them in flight 60 times in a single day so that pilots like you never have to, or to make sure you can do so safely if you need to. It’s gratifying hearing comments like yours. It helps make it feel worthwhile.

Liam Neeson was also in it.

I work for a company that tests jet engines in flight, and have been on around 400 test flights. I’ve been in stalls, zero-G dives, and in the middle of ice-generating clouds that airline pilots will avoid. There are many times I have spent several *hours* in turbulence at only 2500 feet above the ground; we can’t

Wow. The more they reveal, the worse this show looks. And it’s not just because the aesthetic bears no resemblance to the existing, established franchise. These designs just look silly. Heck, skants were a better choice than this dreck.

I play the advanced ABC game - for license plates that have three letters in them (California cars, for instance), find words that contain all three letters. The rules are - no punctuation between the letters, proper names are allowed, and no personally made up words (made-up words from published novels are

Where are the other two kittens then?!? And what kind of pie is it?

So were any of those flavors almost, but not completely, unlike tea?

I have not, I’ve only used Backblaze. I don’t think it’s a resource hog though, as after it finished the initial copy I never notice it running. And that initial backup didn’t slow my system any.

I highly recommend Backblaze as a backup service. $50 per year, off-site, unlimited storage, runs silently in the background. I use that on top of one internal and one external hard drive backups.

Dang, that headline got me hoping they were sticking four big fans around the corners to make it fly.

Do you want Russians? Because this is how you get Russians!

Probably Dungeon Siege.

I’ll always remember the first Dungeon Siege, which can be played start to finish without ever encountering a loading screen.

“Come with us as we follow these brave, plucky adventurers and watch them all die horribly as their race is exterminated.”

COTD!

For me, the best Star Wars game has always been the original Knights of the Old Republic. Great gameplay and an incredible story, I remember that after I finished it the first time I immediately played through it a second time, making all the same choices. It was *that* good.

That last one should have a red light going back and forth, back and forth...

I had a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta TDI I bought with just under 100k miles for what I thought was a good price. Diesel motors are supposed to last forever, right? The car accelerated well, had no problem getting to and holding highway speeds even on steep climbs, handled well enough to be pretty fun, and could get 600
