The monologues are killing me. On Late Night, he had his pace and the length was great, longer for stronger material, while shorter for weaker stuff. Though, I will say, even the weaker stuff was great because he would ruin the joke before it was even over (in a good way). Now I feel like the monologue…

What's weird is that there was all this action throughout the whole season then it came to a screeching halt (comparatively) in the finale: though action packed those first 7 episodes never felt rushed, while this last one, with relatively less to do felt obtuse and ill fitting.
