Jesus Christ Bananas, don't y'all have dvr's?

how would your mom feel if she knew you were disparaging Leno?

Yo La Tengo interview question my life
I've interviewed James formally, and frankly, I was relieved to interview him instead of Ira, as he seems more accessible to me. This interview dispels those beliefs somewhat, however.
I did once get to ask the whole band (at a very awesome ask-questions-tell- stories-play-songs

@partdavid: I agree
When Marx wrote "religion is the opiate of the masses" he wasn't disparaging religion or the masses. The quote has bee much maligned and taken out if context. Instead he was referencing how rich people use opium to comfort themselves, and yet they were the privileged class, the ones who created the

@bondfool
As Billy Bush says:
"It's gross"

Mad Women: wrong
You say you don't want to force your sensibilities on another time but you are doing so anyway in that your interpretation is just another pedantic view of "People were so innocent then! How corrupt we all are now!"Jesus Christ Bananas this is NYC in the !960's not Armpit, Nebraska in the 1800's!

not as fun
I understand the whole episode was bout folks being off kilter but it was decidedly less fun. Except Zoe, bless her heart

I hope it's in my head, so that the dis-ease I feel will abate. Right now It's worse than watching final Jeopardy! for awkwardness empathy, or what I like to call "fardo".
Conan's monologues are giving me a severe case of the fardos.

God, in one sense that would be smashing, but in another then he and Co-Co will be competing again. I am loving how I can now watch Ferguson without guilt.
He has the best monologue in late night.

that stat is astonishing.

Monotologues
The monologues are killing me. On Late Night, he had his pace and the length was great, longer for stronger material, while shorter for weaker stuff. Though, I will say, even the weaker stuff was great because he would ruin the joke before it was even over (in a good way). Now I feel like the monologue

*zing!*

me too. I like that it didn't change from show to show.

your complaint has gone on too long

That's kinda like saying Van Halen (Lee Roth) was awful because of Poison et. al. Or The Beatles sucked because The Monkees were totally bullshit.

FULL HEARTS
CAN"T LOSE

S: Roscoe was on constant repeat in my car for about two months, though the album is pretty great in total, that song is unfuckingbelievable

not the av club proper, but in the comments section.

MT: that's a good call
What's weird is that there was all this action throughout the whole season then it came to a screeching halt (comparatively) in the finale: though action packed those first 7 episodes never felt rushed, while this last one, with relatively less to do felt obtuse and ill fitting.
