That’s harsh. If it can mitigate your view : I saw the Oldman version of Tinker without having read the novel or seen the miniseries, and I had no trouble following the plot. The film had a moderate success, if I remember well, and I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t if it had been incomprehensible to all but Le Carré readers.
