1) I came to defend the Mako because I loved the Mako and I find a discussion thread filled with people who loved the Mako and defend the Mako. What can I say.

I’ve already stated how going the multiverse wackiness route will shrink Marvel’s public spectrum (oh no how dare you how dare you), but, in particular, linking specific actors to specific roles is a deadend.

By the way. Finished the season two of The Exorcist. It was bad. It was really very bad. I had accepted that it was just some humorless ash vs evil dead adventure with nothing from friedkin/blatty. But also it was bad.

History here is the genealogy of a current situation. A situation that has its roots in culture, in memory, in representations.

It’s not a genre that takes “it’s like a parody” as a flaw.

I honestly think it’s not a matter of roles here. I don’t think Fishburne would have had the same impact as Jackson in Pulp and Die Hard. And I think Jackson would have been more striking (too striking?) in Matrix.

I don’t get this eagerness of becoming an advertisement platform. This eagerness to watch and share commercials. I just detest these things, and I find completely ridiculous the mix of pseudo-anticapitalistic critique (“look at me, i’m vaguely passive aggressive towards brands and big business”) and full endorsement

What would superman do in a movie for kids ?

You haven’t played enough computer RPGs.

Right. Well.

I wish Carpenter had made more films. More good ones and more bad ones.

The next bond starts with the for your eyes only intro in reverse. The bald bond in a wheelchair wins, repeatedly smacking the helicopter with a cane.

Is that unrelated to the Buck Rogers news ?

What’s with all the Chuck Jones Daffy franchises, these days.

Not to mention how confusing Thor’s Twins can be.
