That’s how David Lynch arrived in this world.

Ok I’m sold.
Fugitive irrational shiver of abstract terror when he uttered the word electricity.
Still the least absurd one, though.
So, basically, Assassin’s Creed Unity.
No.
Ok. Checked that trailer. A bit less pessimistic now.
I’ve only seen him in cartoony caricatural roles, and even as a Bruce Spence replacement, the acting style that I’m familiar with would be jarring for the genre. But I haven’t seen Bad Time at the El Royale, so, maybe his range is broader. Hence my question and apprehension.
Can Hemsworth play a serious role ?
Just for the readers who claim that projecting AOC onto the Newman character is completely arbitrary from the viewers’ part :
Even if her skin wasn’t matte, she’d evoke AOC just by being a younger than average, good-looking congresswoman seeming simultaneously tough and relaxed and being a vocal political frontline spearhead.
“Mr President, some say that the steroids used in your treatment may induce adverse psychiatric side-effects. Have you experienced any negative symptom ?”
It’s annoying (here, but also in other episodes that were revealed during the impeachment process) how Trump is surrounded by creeps who are stupid enough to espouse his views or to sacrifice humans for profit, yet not stupid enough to find each of Trump’s ideas a great idea.
Ruth Gordon is always delightful. And Columbo episodes where there’s a genuine fondness between the culprit and Columbo are often the best (the Johnny Cash one is another). That said, this episode reminds us to always plant “proofs” incriminating someone and seemingly let by the victim, when we stage our murders.
I agree with that comment. Not in the sense that the show is “smart enough” for this alt-right bullshit, but for the valid hypothesis that it features it from the get-go.
Eight hundred and sixty four. THE RIGHT AMOUNT.
This is now a discussion on triumphalist vs self-depreciating song lyrics. In french music.
My theory is that people don’t like seeing a subtle but epically heartwrenching song about a man’s everyday routine in pretend denial of his dead marriage turned into some primitively bombastic megalomaniac self-heroisation.
Finally I’ve realized that I hate every movie and every show and every book, so I’ll spend the weekend in contemplation of a Lego ISS.
That’s one big disappointment : the finale didn’t resolve anything regarding chekhov’s fly. Was it a miniature superhero who was accidentally stomped mid-season without anyone realizing ?
