It’s Yoko’s take on kintsugi, the Japanese art of using gold to repair a broken item as a way to highlight the beauty of its fragility. Of course, Yoko has somehow screwed that up by recommending regular glue instead. Like, she can’t even bother to spring for the stuff with glitter in it.

Let’s be fair. The worst part about that is that she had the opportunity to say something at the Grammys.

I have no “skin in the race” and, in fact, I should be one of the people who “hate” Iggy Azalia (I’m a dark-skinned Black woman and a fan of mainstream and not-so-mainstream hip-hop—- Hot 97 Summer Jam here I come!). I just think all this hand-wringing about her is just silly.

You know, there really is a point where all of this constant negativity and bashing of Iggy Azalea crosses the line from being on point and justified to just being mean and unnecessary.

Iggy Azealia is one of the biggest selling recording artists and highest profile celebs of the last 1.5 years. If her career were “dying” Jezebel wouldn’t devote headline after headline to her—-people with dying careers don’t get this much ink spilled in their name on pop culture blogs.
