Yep. I worked at a Target in my undergrad years, and if I was on the overnight shift, we’d use the intercom to contact others throughout the store or alert our boss when needed.
Why?
Reminds me when I desperately wanted to play for my city’s youth football team with all my friends, and my parents flatly said “No way.” I, of course, had to ask “Why, why, why?!” My father replied “Because last season they had to forfeit a game halfway through due to the parents fighting on the field.”
