Aw, sorry about the cannas. I always hate losing plants. I recently lost two geraniums that were indoor plants, and it’s super frustrating.

Oh, well, yeah. There too.

Dogs and cats, living together

Oh man. Get thee to r/justnomil and commiserate with your people. They’ll also be supportive and helpful for dealing with her in the future.

I just went back and read all your comments about the Charter School and this teacher. OMG. I am furious for you that he wasn’t fired earlier. How did that shit fly for so long?!?! I really hope the school learns a lesson here about actually doing something when these kinds of things are reported.

Oh bummer... That’s a tough spot to be in. I wish you the best of luck with getting your grass to grow and ridding your yard of the dandelions!

Awesome! Yeah, the plants you mentioned should do great in your zone. I’m a bit jealous that you are already putting your plants outside. I’m just super excited about being able to grow so much more than I have in years before. Bring on the arugula!!!

I’ve been trying to edge the backyard a bit and have been pulling up grass for three weeks. I also pull dandelions out of the yard because it’s so satisfying to hear that pop and pull out a whole dandy.

Good for you! I have to admit, although I have an awesome kind of MIL, I do lurk in reddit’s r/JustNoMIL subreddit. The drama llamas are plentiful.

Why? Because weed. Are you in CO, because I could totally see that happening here.

Nice! I’m in zone 6, but we’re in a valley in Colorado’s high country, so it’s kinda weird. We still get snow through May, so I have to be careful.

Oh damn! All that stuff sounds awesome! What’s your zone?

We gave the cat a leaf of ‘nip last weekend. She ‘bout lost her damn mind. She’d never had the fresh stuff before, but BoyPenguin’s ex gave him some ‘nip and weed (we’re in CO, so it’s legal). Both the cat and I partook in our respective herbs.

Oooo, nice! Everything’s looking good! What zone are you in?

Ooo, orchids are so pretty! What colors are yours? I have one, but it hasn’t bloomed in about two years. It’s super healthy though. Just leafin’ and air rootin’.

Yeah, the herbs are next on my list. I just wish it would stop being rainy and snowy and just be nice weather. But, we always need the moisture. :/

Nice! Yeah, i’ve been doing most of our stuff indoors (in the dining room) since I’m in CO high country. We’re not yet out of the danger zone for snow, but with row covers and fresh compost, I’m relaying on passive solar and thermal mass effect to keep the temps above freezing. I’ve been slowly putting some of the

I really like monarda, and bees love it! Yarrow is also a good one and easy to keep. Daisies and coneflowers are good too. Heuchera is also great, but it’s a shade plant.

Congratulations with almost being done with grad school!
