I discovered that it’s very easy to stay out of and get into jail. Not so easy to get out once you’re in. And if you were to decide to get yourself locked up on a lark, what would you do if the powers that be decide that they don’t want to let you out?

Good points. The night I spent in jail was in the county lock-up. I knew nothing bad was going to happen to me and I knew I was getting out in the morning. If either of those conditions changed, it would have been so much worse.

First of all, there’s a bigly yuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge difference between jail and prison. Jail is where I went for a night when I got a DUI. Not fun, but not horrible either. Prison is where you get beaten, raped and shanked. And that’ll ruin your entire day.

Jail is not expensive. Jail is free. It’s getting out of jail that’s expensive.
