*Sigh* As a person who believes in God, I always feel it’s necessary to point out that it’s RELIGIOUS PEOPLE who ruin everything, not religion.

People who haven’t worked in restaurants have no idea how much sexual harassment is considered SOP in those places.

All, everyone, the costumers, some of them are really creepy, for some reason they think you talk to them because you are attracted to them not because it is your job.

Thanks to a family connection (sibling is an executive chef at a high end club) I know just how heinous the “jokes” can get. Racism? Yep. Sexism? Yep. Gay bashing? In spades.

I blame the garment industry. If only they’d design a zipper that stays up, I wouldn’t have to worry about fucking anything that moves.

There’s got to be a lot of chefs getting nervous. Sexual harassment in the restaurant industry is rampant. The only question is which excuses we’ll hear: “It was different back then” or “It’s a tough work environment and you’ve got to be able to deal with the heat.”
