Harry would be average af if he weren’t royalty and being compared to a family that looks like a bunch of 18th century Habsburg rejects.

Well, the left is explicitly anti-capitalist, anti-corporate, and has very rarely been opposed to violence when employed in defense of the oppressed, but aside from all that this just seems like a particularly crass moment to complain about protestors “provoking the police,” whatever that means. Right wingers just

I am a little irritated by the praise heaped on very rich women for being able to maintain their looks as they age. I think we could all knock a few years off our appearance if we had a few spare million for skincare lying around.

I’m sorry of this comes off as rude, but you are having a general reading comprehension issue about the content and context of the The Root article, and Lourde’s statement on Twitter.

Um, Antifa started in the 1930s in Germany actually.

Anti-fas have been describing themselves across the world as such for ages now. It has nothing to do with the alt-right, it’s the movement that opposes fascism in all its forms.

It’s an old term, chosen by the antifa themselves, for groups opposed to fascism. It dates back to German antifa fighters, thus the weird intonation. It’s not an insult, and lots of antifa wear it proudly and want to tap into that history.

What’s confusing about it? Do we have to stoop to alt-right level and disapprove everything unfamiliar-sounding? Oh no I heard it’s against the 1st amendment *throws tantrum*. Germans gonna abvreviate whether you like it or not

“Antifa” is an abbreviation of “Anti-fascism” and has existed in Europe since before the 1930s as an association of international anti-fascist groups. I find this thread a bit bizarre, misinformed and American-centric if anyone thinks the term “antifa” was invented last week or is deliberately obscure. I think the

So, I see a lot of misunderstanding relating to the term and the group in this thread and thought to clear it up a bit. Though I do not consider myself a part of the antifa nor did my history lessons cover it, based on my life experiences I do feel qualified to share what I know.

Ah, so you’re decrying violence on “many sides”?

If they want their own country so badly, give it to them. Just make it an island, far far away, in the middle of the ocean. They don’t need to use this country’s resources to undermine its government.

It seems to be a specific group of anti-facists though (at least in the Berkeley protest). I think they were the ones protesting the Hell’s Angel’s Trump support march too.

“Anti-fascist” (for which “antifa” is a perfectly reasonable shorthand) has nearly a hundred years of history in use — what are you even talking about?

Here’s a link to someone on Twitter identifying racists from Charlottesville. Not wearing a hood? Suffer the consequences. One racist doucher has already been fired. Send some emails! Post on FB!

Does it bother Jared in the least that he used Nazis to get the presidency? I honestly don’t think it does.

When your most beloved child and her equally as beloved husband are practicing Jews, how hard is it to say “Nazis are bad”?

TO EVERYONE WHO OWNS OR WORKS IN OR RUNS A BUSINESS FREQUENTED BY ANYONE IN TRUMP’S FAMILY OR ANYONE IN HIS ADMINISTRATION OR ANY OF HIS BUSINESS ASSOCIATES:

I’m old enough to remember when Nazis were automatically considered to be the bad guys in every situation, no benefit of the doubt given.

As I have said before, if you are a Trump supporter, you are a racist, misogynistic xenophobe and you have no defense
