S-M:H came very close to being the first film that i can remember that i paid for that i walked out on; the first third was WAY too much "Let's remake 'The Breakfast Club' and about four other cute teen films" by people who had no real idea what was great about the films they were referencing.

Not new. Well aware that low-rating films is the local reviewers' way of proving how cool they are.

So, basically your entire actual review is the final graf, and the rest is whiny pseudo-hipster complaints that they should have done it your way.

You know those signs at Six Flags: "Yo uhave to be at least as tall as this sign…"?

Elvin Bishop opening for a Kinks show that included a full multi-media version of "A Soap Opera"?

National/International?

As opposed to good pizza?

I rather like it. But not enough to watch it every month.

Baby Driver 2: Cruise Control

It's outdoing the predictions by a fair amount; i think that counts as a hit.

After i saw what a hot mess it was all turning into, i watched a couple of the trailers and then avoided them, and the film.

As soon as i saw the first trailer i began checking for background, and quickly discovered that this has been cooking in Wright's mind since the 90s, with him working on it in the background the whole time, planning what songs and what moods.

I'm wondering if you people saw the same trailers i did.

Basic rule of thumb: if it doesn't gross at least twice to three times its budget, a film is pretty much a loss.

Last time i saw "Diva" they had re-written the subtitles to remove an ethnically-offensive name for the villain. You know - the one he used himself?

The "Ta-Kill-Ya" trailer is pretty good.

That's part of what happened to "Suicide Squad" - they wound up re-cutting the film to match the trailers…

For "Once Upon a TIme in the West", Sergio Leone had Ennio Morricone write the soundtrack music FIRST from the scenario, and then had it playing on set during shooting. (Since Italian films were shot silent and then 100% post-dubbed, even into Italian, it was okay.)

What does Harry Potter mean to me?
