What happens when an unbeatable force meets an unbeatable force?

My goodness...that poster at 1:12 could be Zachary Quinto...

The less skeptical and analytical the person, and the more intelligent the person, the more likely they are to find meaning in “bullshit”? Hmm.

Also, Newcastle is one word.

Now that is interesting. I’d like to dismiss it in favour of bacteria, but they both seem to have the same amount of problems and advantages in explaining the cell nucleus. I’m going to keep an eye on this, thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Are you saying that the virus provided the membrane “technology” for the organelles, or the DNA? Since organelles are lipid bylayers, like the outer membrane, I’d need some strong convincing that they came from a virus rather than other bacteria/single-celled organism.

This sounds more like a parasite than a virus. That’s quite exciting.

But is the shell of the virus the same as organelles?

Hold on hold on...I thought this was a complete reboot - same concept with different actors/actresses? Are you telling me this is like a sequel?

Education is the key. It helps people lead better lives, will raise their IQ (because it’s not immobile), and reduce the number of children they have (on average) which will ease the increasing pressures on the environment.

That last comment on the video is pretty pertinent, to be honest.

You have a weird definition of “science fiction”.

Yeah, and if I read the explanation correctly, it assumes a certain amount of pay for labour as well as pay for managing the farm. So if they assume the work the farmer is doing is worth $150,000, but the farm only makes $120,000 in profit, it’s effectively lost money.

That’s all fine and well, and I know it sounds like some random artifact of radiation used for communication, but I like the sound of “spooky alien space music” much better than “radio interference”.

Golden Age Etta Candy is my favourite Wonder Woman character bar none. This is the news that has me most excited to see the new movie.

Sometimes an off-hand comment by one person is profound wisdom to someone else. When you ask them about it later the response is along the lines of: “Well, I agree with it, but it’s not the sort of thing I’d bother remembering.”

That’s an observation of gravity, not an explanation of it. They may as well say “things fall down because things fall downwards”.

I’m not going to get an even vaguely sensible answer, am I?

The above picture says it’s “stationary”, though...

That Orlando map is pretty clever, except for the fact that heat rises.

Yeah, that sucks.

Yeah, that sucks.

Ah...I probably should have expected that. Thanks.
