They sell them to the public in Mexico (no Saturn Vue down there) and those things sell like (non-2012) Civics.

Fleet only.

The lines around the rear look just like the 3rd gen Montero

My aunt had a couple of Spirits (pretty sure they were sold as Chrysler Spirit in Mexico). They were also hugely popular back then as police cars down there.

I see far more Rainiers and even 9-7xs than I’ve seen Bravadas.

+1 on the rust. My guess for the mechanical is that the Ascender seems to be relatively cheap compared to the other GMT360s that a lot of people just have them as beaters and don’t care about them. I wanted one, but couldn’t even find one (used) with factory tinted windows. Bought a Trailblazer instead.

Ohio prohibits right on red, except from the curb lane. As a consequence, the right lane may have as many as 15-20 cars waiting to turn, and the left right lane 0.

Really? I had no idea Columbus does have a no u-turns citywide (stupid in some places), and at least in Dublin, Hilliard and Gahanna I’ve seen signs specifically prohibiting U-turns at certain intersections, and not one that allows them.

It’s socially acceptable to do so at the golf course.

A guy I know got pulled over between San Luis Potosi and Matehuala, on the 57. He was driving a 1st gen Chevrolet Chevy (yes, such a thing does exist) and going well over 100 MPH. The cop gave him a verbal warning because he was rather impressed with the fact that that crappy little car could go that fast.

Wouldn't touch it with a 10-ft pole if the sole powerplant offering was a small MaxxFarce diesel.

I've actually gotten a mix of things

Arizona's current plates say PERM and have no expiration date. The FLT stickers went away when they switched to the AAA0000 flat plates, from the embossed 000AAA plates (back then the month and year tags were 2 separate decals). For some reason California plates seem to be a popular choice with rental fleets too, not

The only reason I'd get a GX 470 (maybe a 460) is because I can't get a Prado in the US. When we lived overseas my dad had a Prado with the 1KZ 3.0 Diesel and I loved that truck, so the GX is the closest thing I can get.
