Karen in Portuguese is Catarina or Katarina. Just so we know who’s being discussed when in Brazil or Lisbon.

White people are gonna show their flat asses everywhere they go. As for Brazil, I wouldn't waste my money in that place. It's like America with a different language and far more slums.

Oh no, there are black communities all over South America, and the latin populations are every bit as racist as their white idjit cousins here in the North. :/

Who surprised by this? Colorism in Brazil runs deep and strong.

Thanks.

There was proven, and convictions handed out, for deliberate malfeasance.

It says half the population of the city registered. That’s about 50,000 according to google. 630 million divided by 50 thousand is about 12 grand each.

There should have been also grants of land and housing, or money in lieu thereof, to give people new lives away from Flint. And then the whole of old Flint plowed under the ground and made a superfund site with a view of returning it to forest. Its name stricken from the Earth as land too poisonous to be used ever

Someone once said “If you want to see just how ‘free-thinking’ a society is or how much it values ‘free speech’, try criticizing the ‘un-criticizable’” or words to that effect...

He really was a true one, always working towards social justice and a more just world. He not only talked the talk, but walked the walk. He was ahead of his time with all the causes and people he supported over the years. He truly was a titan who tried to make the worlds a better place.

Rest in Peace, Archbishop Tutu. You were one of the best. I worked on a documentary about the end of apartheid in South Africa a few years ago, and went through many clips of Tutu, and listening to him had such an impact on me. He will be fondly remembered.

He was one of the few that were absolutely, honestly dedicated to the cause of equality and justice.

RIP Archbishop Desmond Tutu. You didn’t bite your tongue.

Rest in Power, Archbishop.

If America is indeed the greatest country in the world, then any criticism of their beloved nation is considered a personal attack

When the term Black Power appeared in 1966, it scared the hell out of a lot of white people because they thought it was the same thing as White Power, only aimed at them. These same folks (well, their progeny) fear Critical Race Theory for the same reason - racial theory demonized black people and blamed them for the

So, we have to learn about European Americans via rhetoric and propaganda like cherry trees and lightening kites. But to actually learn the truth about another group and their experiences is too much.

Nah. They don’t know what it is.

I find it ironic that DeSantis (who looks like a constipated bastard out of Trump’s ass/mouth), and Cotton (who looks like an emaciated Trump sympathizer) talk about CRT as Marxist, while they espouse Trumpism’s fascist tactics, such as silencing scientists or advocating waterboarding.

We don’t give children the right to do anything without parental permission.
