There are Kubrick films and Cormac McCarthy novels that I greatly enjoyed, but I can kind of see how someone might actually believe that people only pretend to like them. I'm not saying that is a sensible or defensible position, just that I can see why some defensive idiots might think it.

A German accent might actually sound a little bit more like what the commoners in 12th Century England sounded like than either a modern American or English accent would.

It is a dumb but fun movie (largely due to Rickman) but every time that movie comes up people complain about Costner speaking with an American accent as Robin Hood. That frequent complaint drives me crazy.

The biggest disappointment for me in Revenge of the Sith was the duel between Vader and Kenobi on Mustafar. It wasn't the worst part of the movie in and of itself, but it was the part that fell so short of its potential.
