Bernie got a lot of “doddering, crazy, yelling old man” ageist flack during the primary. Look at the way Trevor Noah covered him on the Daily Show and the way he was portrayed on Wait Wait Don’t Tell me for starters.

Full stop:

I get that, I really do. To some extent, I cringe when I hear women tell other women to vote for Hillary because she is a woman. Just no.

It’s the idea that she would be more apt to intervene militarily than Obama.

The ACA needs to be replaced with universal health care. Health care should be provided from taxes, not a forced “marketplace.” She has mentioned “better support” for families, but nothing specific.

I don’t think I can vote for her.

What soured it for you? Was it the completely rigged, practically comical, DNC behind the scenes contemplating wether to spread rumors about Bernie being an atheist? Was it the fact that Hillary did stand by her man and he made back door deals over the years to get her to where she is now?

I’m right there with you, sister. It would have been really awesome to see a woman get there under different pretenses who held a more family-friendly, less hawkish platform. I love Bernie, but am begrudgingly voting for Clinton because the alternative is just too terrible.

this is the plot of yugioh. shkreli is kaiba. confirmed.

I think the point here is that autopilot encourages distracted driving. It is an invitation to not pay attention and rely on the car to take car of itself. With imperfect technology, this is dangerous.

It is important to note that Tesla disables Autopilot by default and requires explicit acknowledgement that the system is new technology and still in a public beta phase before it can be enabled.

still in a public beta phase

My senior year in high school we all took an American politics and government class. I really liked the class and was that obnoxious kid that would get involved in every discussion. One of the assigned readings was a book which included stories from the lives of people on various kinds of welfare and one of those

This is wonderful, thank you for sharing. So much of the discussion about this is so alarmist and polarizing. Just a couple thoughts:

Don’t forget the 24 year-old teacher tied to a cinder block at the bottom of a pond:

So if she’s disliked simply because she’s a woman, then how can you have any honest discussion about the numerous reasons she shouldn’t be President? At the end of the day, you can dismiss all arguments as “Well of course they’d say that, she’s a woman”. It can’t possibly be because of her handling of this email

It’s very hard to both acknowledge that Clinton’s popularity is mired by sexist attitudes about women in public life, and that there are also other reasons why folks distrust her or dislike her. If you bring up one of these points, people tend to hit you over the head with the other fact, as if they can’t both be

Agreed. I’m really disappointed in how Bernie/Hillary stuff has been covered here, and especially disappointed in the way they’ve forwarded the “Bernie Bro” narrative.

I’m sorry, I have to say something. I’m a Bernie supporter, and a longtime Jezebel reader, AND I was there in the room. I shot some videos that have been aired on major networks, and I actually have a relatively neutral perspective. Could you please interview me for an alternate view of what happened, instead of just
