I’m convinced someone at YouTube is on crack. On 4G with T-Mob my videos default to 720p, and definitely look wayyy better than if set to 420p. I don’t notice them degrading the quality of YouTube at all.

LG G4, so pretty great resolution. Just checked the actual app when in the video and minr are all defaulting to 720p when on 4G.. And 420p when on my lame WiFi.. Lol.

Just checked, mine seem to default to 720p when on TMobiles 4G, at least according to the YouTube app.
