I’d go even further and say the banter only works as well as it does because the show is actually tackling some pretty serious issues (I’m sure I’ll get flamed for saying that though).

The University of Aberdeen in Scotland on Thursday announced that it plans to return a bronze statue depicting a ruler of the Kingdom of Benin to Nigeria, which British soldiers outright stole from Benin in 1897.

Well that’s not a picture of Eureka...

For what it is worth, I liked it. It was definitely better than Whedon’s shit and it was a better take on the characters. I don’t get the hate on DCEU from sites like i09 and the like. I liked MOS and BvS for what it was and a lot of that was from the idea of Superman not portraying this forever boy scout. Kal El was

Surprisingly not; he actually dials it back quite a bit and emphasizes their heroism

Can’t wait for Tucker Carlson’s hot take on why female athletes don’t need a weight room because weight training makes them less feminine.

Nah, it would be a lost cause. Better to just keep punching until there’s no face left.

This is the stage Trump will be speaking from tomorrow at CPAC. If you still support this kind of conservatism. Look in the mirror. You might be a Nazi. This is too much of a coincidence.

You could run Lich Hitler as the GOP nominee and have him actively sucking the lifeforce out of Jewish babies on live TV and Mitch would still nod and support him. Mitch has become the living embodiment of Party over Country. As long as it’s GOP, willing to appoint those chosen by Mitch and aggressively push the tax

Whelp, they can be just as sorry in jail. Fine by me. Then let’s see them navigate the life of an ex-felon what with losing their right to vote, struggling to find a job, or a place to live.

LAPD: We’re the dirtiest police force on all the West Coast.

Oh fuck off.
The failure of Gen-X in the 90's. GTFOH.
Who has been in power for the entirety of that time and is just now started to every so slightly lose some of that power? Fucking Boomers.
True Gen-Xers have always been about inclusion and societal fairness. The “whatever” generational label had nothing to do with

You forgot Fugazi, Liz Phair, Sonic Youth, Bad Brains, The Pixies, Nas, Wu Tang, Mobb Deep, Gang Starr, John Spencer Blues Explosion, TLC, Tribe Called Quest.... too many bands to name, so much awesome rap, so much awesome prog/math rock and electronic, club, tekno, drum and bass. I’m totally dating myself here but

Primus, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Rancid, Butthole Surfers, L7, KMFDM and hell even those Hillbillies in Pantera were laying down some sonic slabs of awesomeness. PVC was fashionable. So was flannel. AFI were still a punk band. And the Ramones were still cranking out records.

Two things can be true.

It is known. Storm, with no powers except the fierceness of the mohawk, beat Cyclops for leadership of the X-Men in a fair fight. Storm is always the better leader, she has empathy that Cyclops lost to his cynicism. She was also the first black or female hero to permanently lead a mainstream super hero team. Before

I agree with your sentiment: Storm was one of the heaviest I-will-kill-you-and-not-blink female protagonists and the heaviest black female character until Amanda Waller was blown up larger by DC.

Storm is the MVP of the new X-Men period. While the dude bros thought Wolverine was the shit, Storm was my favorite followed by Colossus. (Yes like you I too love this shit.) She put Wolverine in check more than once, became a confidant for Jean Grey/Phoenix, was a mentor to Kitty Pryde and was obviously being groomed

My friends loved Dark Ages but I could never get into it.  Vampire in general wasn’t my thing and the Dark Age setting made it even less compelling for me.  I always liked modern WoD.  As far as games went I was always partial to Werewolf or Mage.  Vampire was okay but at the age I played these games most the idea of

Favorite WoD setting? I loved Vampire: The Dark Ages. Being able to play as a Tzimisce was the best. Werewolves: The Wild West was also great, the theme of human encroachment into wilderness (and into indigenous population centers) was a great parallel with the overall themes of the Werewolf milieu.
