Thanks for the link. I’ve been staying out of the internet discourse on Star Wars for what should be obvious reasons so I haven’t really found any good articles, but this one was great.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. I thought there was some good and fun stuff to be found in Rise of the Skywalker, but the undoing of the reveal about Rey’s parents really rubbed me the wrong way for all the reasons you said. I also found that it added to Rey’s character in an interesting way because it implied

I completely agree with your assessment. I will always love the original KoTOR, and I understand that it’s familiar original trilogy tone was an intentional way to recapture that during the prequel era, which I appreciate. However, KoTOR 2's attempt to strike out and do something that was pretty much completely unique

Over time I have come to appreciate Paragus a little more because I really appreciate the unique tone and setting that basically amount to it being a horror movie level in a Star Wars game.

Manny Jacinto’s biceps this episode. That’s it. That’s the comment.

Judge Gen and Thanos, now that would be an unstoppable combo

“Crisis of Infinite Janets” - that’s the kind of quality comment I’m here for

I know I’m super late but I just wanted to say that, as someone who probably comes from a similar background to Brent’s give or take one or two huge differences (I don’t think I’m as terrible as him), your first paragraph might be one of the truest things I’ve ever read and it perfectly summarizes the problem that

Thank you for saying it! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Kevin has never gotten any further than gay plot device. I wish I had a GLAAD award so I could bludgeon a writer with it.

Yeah, now that you’ve said it I see this as being pretty likely. The only reason I’d doubt this theory is because they started the flash forwards at the end of last season and also in this season before this ghost writer plot started, which would be an interesting choice.

This is the kind of quality comment I’m here for

I miss the Mick so much.

Yeah my thoughts on Billy in season two, where he was just kinda there with not much character development and only served as a minor antagonist, was someone in the writers’ room pitched the idea of having a character that began and ended at “what if Ted Bundy but in Stranger Things” so the tying up Heather thing

This episode confirmed for me that Judy Greer has been the MVP of this season: both “ugh, it’s gonna be one of those” and “there’s some debate on that” were two of my favourite lines of the episode.

Oh damn. I might like yours better now.

Eleanor and Tahani’s final interaction needs to them finding out if the have become good enough to get into the real good place with Tahani finding out first and then Eleanor calling out to her “congratulations, beautiful”.

Definitely funny episodes and I liked how they wrapped up the John Kelley arc. And I guess Holt getting demoted hasn’t been as big as the cliffhangers they used to do, like Holt and Jake going to Florida or Jake and Rosa going to jail, which I never really liked because it always just seemed like it was a thing they

I would have probably given the episode a B+ in that I thought it was just as entertaining and engaging as last week’s but there were a few things that didn’t work.

I wish I could give this comment more than one upvote. Also, I’m kicking myself that the Twin Peaks connection didn’t immediately occur to me when I watched the scene.
