I expected a really lazy “It’s a go anywhere, anytime” time travel device, that would allow Indy to travel back in time to fight alongside his younger self and save Shia LaBeouf from going to Vietnam. Yeah, my last two houses (one built in the 70's I think and the other 100 years ago) both had those “apartment-special” hood “vents” that really don’t do anything. Those should be banned before we ban gas stoves.

The standards for venting must be abysmal, because my last house (single family, built in 2010) had a stove that was located along an outside wall, but the vent hood didn’t actually vent anywhere. It would have been a simple thing to punch a hole in the wall for a vent, but it wasn’t required, so it wasn’t done.
