I will probably buy one if the 16Gb model comes in under $350, and I'm an Android guy at heart. I'll probably always have an Android phone. I don't say "Baaaaa" and I don't camp out at Apple stores.

Not was I was implying, Apple products are usually very well built, but Apple also has very specific margins they want to make on products. Anything that would add to the cost of the phone, but doesn't add to the obvious value (i.e.-able to charge a higher retail price) won't get added in.

Hell, I don't even clean my own gutters!

I'm still amazed by all the pixel-density nazis, as if non-Retina makes any device completely unusable. It will be just fine at whatever it ends up being, and Apple will sell a sh*tload of them if they are properly priced. Including one to me.

In 1977, besides the normal playing & hanging with friends, I was dreaming of owning an Apple II and trying to calculate how many side jobs I would have to do to afford it. Sadly, it never happened.

The only practical coating (i.e.-would really help) I can think of would be Titanium Nitride, but that would be very expensive, adding to the cost of the phone (i.e.-not in Apple's vocabulary)

I was holding out hope that the leaked shell was wrong and they'd go closer to the 16:9 dimensions of the new iphone/ipod. If it's purported to be a subsidized media consumption device, then put a media-consumption-friendly screen ratio on the damn thing.

Jump about 6 months into the future and see if the power button still works, then we'll talk...

I don't agree. We are talking hand-held photography, so it's a good idea to use that formula to help minimize shake. Plus, it's an easy suggestion for beginners to remember.

I'm not a huge gamer, but I was considering an Xbox to use as a Media Center extender. That was, until I found out I had to pay Microsoft for a Gold Membership to watch Hulu Plus and Netflix. Screw you Redmond. You just lost a customer. Hello Plex.

Nice!

As long as it's 720p, it'll be fine. The Pixel Density Nazis won't be happy, but they aren't who this tablet is for. And please, put away your magnifying glasses stop using terms like "horrible", "terrible" and worst of all "unusable" when it comes to products with less than maximum ppi. It makes you sound like an

Well, thankfully the worst offenders have been eliminated by obsolescence, the Nextel PTT addicts. Like the Blackberry Messenger a few years ago, young adults everywhere were using a productivity tool socially at all hours of the day no matter where they were or who they were with. What's worse than hearing one side

OK, an Itchy & Scratchy AND a Galaxy Quest reference in the same comment thread? Geekgasm!

Itchy and Scratchy in space...Awesomeness

I don't know, looks pretty good to me. Great cast for sure, looking forward to Cranston's performance. It's no Avengers, but it can't be worse than a Batman movie with very little Batman in it (sorry). It's on the short list of remaining movies this year we'll see in a theater, besides Dredd.
