Correct. It’s a tightrope to walk for me. Because you obviously don’t dismiss victims of other crimes but I think the accused has a right to be treated as innocent until proven guilty.

Believe means when you listen to a victim’s story (and really any victim of trauma’s story not just a victim of sexual assault) you listen to them and create an atmosphere that encourages them to talk and makes them feel safe. You don’t look at a victim being dissociative or suffering from a flattening of affect…

Generally if you get verification of something you report from 2 independent sources, you’re covered even if what you’re publishing is completely false. You did your due diligence.
