yeah i mean neon brought it to venice and gave it a short release for awards contention. they believed in it enough.

these things are also more about timing and competition than anything. this was a fucking nuclear year for movies.

i haven’t seen origin because it doesn’t come out wide until january 19th.

I am really surprised this cost so much because it really did not look like it on screen.  I didn’t hate the show but the special effects looked cheap.  

I say this as somebody who liked the series, and the finale to boot...$225 million was way too damn much.

A pity— She-Hulk was by far the Marvel TV series that I most enjoyed watching. It knew the kind of story it wanted to tell, it wasn’t laden down with the baggage of having to advance some sort of cross-property plotline, and Maslany was effortlessly charming in it. I can see how the CGI budget for it must have been…

That’s cool, it was a fine series but it really doesn’t need a second season.  I’d love to see her in a West Coast Avengers teamup though.

Exactly. Black is a big goofy guy that sings about genitals so people kind of assume he actually can’t sing but the guy actually has a very good singing voice. Weird Al get knocked similarly. They both are accomplished musicians whos medium just happens to be comedy.

You’ll have to wait for Grande 2.0 then. The current model just isn’t convincingly human yet (although you’d be surprised how long it took Pete Davidson to figure that out).

He struggled on that joke hard. You could barely hear him say the word camera and then he tacked on “there’s just more to see here!” when there was a groan. On top of it, the punchline is undercut by the fact that they literally DO have a camera on her. It was a dumb joke poorly delivered.

Right. She had no clue that there was a joke coming her way and she was simply existing going about her life.

Honestly, god help anyone who says ANYTHING about her if we’re referring to that Jo Koy joke as “cringe-worthy.” It was not a good joke. It was barely a joke. But my goodness, is it being blown so absurdly out of proportion. “Taylor Swift is dating an NFL star and gets shown on TV a bunch.” Oh, what a diss to Tay-Tay.…
