Yeah. I’m sure they go somewhere. I just know there wasn’t a process for it at all when I worked retail a decade ago.

So fraud? That’s your solution?

Yeah. Gamestop’s discounts on newly released games are not great. One of the reasons I never shopped there. Not worth the potential downside to save $5 even when I was making a lot less. Though clearly someone must be buying them or they wouldn’t still sell them for that price. The difference between them and other

Because your entire economy is fucking hilariously broken and unfavourable toward the consumer.

Sounds like Sony’s digital return policy is basically the same. Not very helpful at all if you’re one of those people who found the game to be unplayable due to all the bugs. I’m curious what CDPR is telling people who email them about returns.

I was thrown by that entry as well. It’s a TV movie. Those have been a thing for forever. I don’t recall TV movies being eligible in the past, but maybe I’m wrong.

Interesting info, thanks. Though I still come down on the other side since it was marketed and released as a miniseries.

Or just eliminate the score altogether and let readers decide for themselves how much or little those bugs matter to them.

It actually worked. Though I had to add a password to my HBO Max account first because it didn’t have one. Thanks.

You’re not too far off. From what I understand, AMC and the other major chains were against MoviePass 1) because they feared that people would get used to the reduced price and not want to pay for full-priced tickets again once MoviePass crashed and burned and 2) because they’d already planned their own competing

I’m an A-List subscriber, so I see ads for it all the time. Though I can’t speak for other people. Building a successful streaming service isn’t an easy thing to do. Especially when there are already so many competitors. Quibi had $1.75 billion in funding and a bunch of famous people on board doing original content

I think if I changed my name to reflect my gender fluid identity, I would politely correct people.

AMC has a streaming service.

What? How did MoviePass hurt them? If anything, it got more people into their theaters. They still got full price for every ticket purchased through MoviePass.

I don’t believe that’s true? The HBO app just replaced HBO Now I’m pretty sure. If you have HBO through your cable company, you can’t use it.

As a linguist, they’ve kept up. Clearly, you haven’t.

It took me a minute too. Though I still agree with the overall point of the article. I’ll put up with some momentary confusion if it means not deadnaming a trans person.

What? Why would a relatively unknown trans person hire a publicist and make a public announcement about their gender identity? Did you actually read the hypothetical we’re discussing? The OP is arguing that it makes more sense to mention the deadname of the trans person if they weren’t well-known by that deadname, but

I always joke that The Good Place is a movie by Lynch fanboy standards since it has chapter titles at the beginning of every episode.

I’m totally on board with those distinctions being muddied, as in the case of Small Axe. I’m just not a fan of the “Twin Peaks Season 3 is a movie” argument for the reasons Doctor Boo mentioned below. It’s always felt like pretentious fanboys trying to elevate a season of a TV show to the status of a film under the
