What?

Now playing

It’s more like 13 seconds, but this is my pick.

People also tend to read things through the lens of their own experience. Someone who’s been in an abusive relationship is more apt to see any minor slight as abuse.

The flip side of that is the Bernie stans who are openly disdainful of black voters for not being more progressive and voting for their guy.

I googled “Shelby Foote Lost Cause” after posting (perhaps should have done so before) and uncovered a lot of let’s say not great statements he made over the years, so I can certainly see why you’d object to him being included. Which is too bad because I really did enjoy his contributions to the series even if it

Agreed. I don’t know Foote’s work outside of the documentary, but I never got the impression that he was selling a Lost Cause narrative.

I know he’s been working in Marvel’s TV department for forever now and was involved with Heroes before that, but whenever I come across his name, I will always think of this.

It’s not explained in the sense that everything weird is given an exact origin point and detailed history, but it all makes sense by the end.

It depends on what you mean by explain I guess. It stays weird up until the end, but it has a satisfying ending.

I felt bad briefly, but the article clearly calls her a man.

Maybe the author isn’t a Hillary fan. Maybe he just really hates Chelsea.

Come to think of it, I’m genuinely surprised that Republicans haven’t started blaming Trump’s various gaffes on deep fakes yet. “He didn’t really say you should inject yourself with cleaner. That was a fake video created by the demonicrats.” Though I suppose he doesn’t really need to deny anything anyway since it’s

North Carolina. Maybe it’s just our local Taco Bell because it’s combined with a KFC. I thought it was pretty weird that they dropped it. I’ll let my wife know that it’s still on the national menu.

My wife already lost faith in humanity because they cut the Cheesy Gordita Crunch.

But again, reply guy jokes and complaints were already being shared around the world. The fact that you weren’t personally aware of something isn’t a reliable gauge of its popularity. I already pointed out that it’s in an effing dictionary, with examples of its use going back five years. Though I’m not totally sure

It’s not a term that someone like my mom would know, but it’s well-known among Gen X, Y, and Z people who spend a good amount of time Twitter. And again, it’s not something Kempner invented or popularized. Which is the point.

As I mentioned in previous comments and the article alludes to as well, “reply guy” is already a well-known term that Kempner didn’t invent. I don’t think a “First they came for the reply guys...” response to a joke thread is needed. I definitely wouldn’t suggest losing sleep over it.

Or maybe it was just something funny that occurred to her and furthered into an existing joke that others have made and people find humorous? I’m not going to call a victim because that’s too strong of a word, but no one’s forcing the guys who follow her (or don’t even follow her) to get personally offended by a

Is she? She didn’t invent the term “reply guy.” She simply created a humorous thread labeling some of the “reply guy” responses she gets. Why is one harmless and the other not?

Yeah, no one should tell someone that they’re wrong.
