To be fair, it’s not just sound. It’s a specific frequency you have to use in order to be effective. Though it still seems like they would have cycled through every potential frequency just to see when the first one didn’t work.

Sure. It’s a bit different. You could always put something on your steak to doctor it up. But I understand why you wouldn’t want to do that if you’re paying a lot. I’d just rather suck it up and eat the overcooked steak or wait for a new one rather than not eating an entree at all.

I never said he defined overcooked as medium. I said that he didn’t specify. In which case, he could very well mean medium as that fits the definition of overcooked. In fact, when I asked why he wouldn’t still eat a steak that was medium, he had a chance to clarify and did not. Rather, he said that he wouldn’t accept…

Do you guys not eat like skirt steak or anything? If you get steak fajitas or burritos or steak hibachi in most cases or any other dish that’s not just “steak,” medium well is pretty standard. It’s certainly not my favorite, but it’s edible.

What? Getting a medium steak when you ordered medium rare is still overcooked. Overcooked doesn’t mean burned. It just means cooked more than you ordered it cooked.

Umm... You ordered a steak. How precise do you think cooking is? The difference between a medium rare steak and a medium steak is pretty minor and subjective. Now if it comes out well done or burnt, that’s a different story.

You’re entitled to do whatever you want I guess. I’m just saying that if it’s me and it’s a choice between not eating an entree at all and eating a steak that’s a bit overcooked, I’ll take the latter every time.

I’m assuming they’re asking if it’s okay to tell them they don’t want it when it arrives, not after they’ve eaten some of it. One would hope anyway. Ideally, you’d let them know before the dish is actually delivered.

You really can’t just eat a steak that’s a bit overdone? I like mine medium rare too, but if it comes out medium or medium well, I’m not going to refuse to eat it.
