When I was looking for TLJ tickets on opening night, pretty much every theater in my area was either sold out or only front row left for all showings.

But they aren’t charging more for it. Some of the theaters near me actually lowered their prices since adding reserve seating. You don’t have to plan that far ahead except for massive openings like this. I’ve done plenty of movies with reserve seating where we planned only hours before. And you don’t have to buy online either. If you’re going out to dinner before, stop by the theater first and buy your tickets. That’s what I always do.

When my friend and I went to see TLJ, I just went on the Fandango app to check what seats were available and bought them in app. We both have Moviepass, but that didn’t matter cause the app allowed me to see that the only showing with decent seats was IMAX 3D.
