They could do Square Cash and post their CashTag on the stream. They don’t even have a way to do refunds. It would force whoever wants to do the chargeback to deal with their bank or CC company and I doubt they want to do that cause the bank will absolutely look into it.
The way you make it work is you investigate the chargeback, like PayPal did in this case. If it’s a case of actual fraud, you don’t get charged. If it’s like this case, the asshat doing the chargeback is on the hook for the fees and will think twice about doing it again.
It would still work. They would just automatically investigate the chargeback further. If it’s because of verified fraud, the fee is dropped. If it’s buyer’s remorse or trolling, they’re on the hook.
