I can see why critics flayed it, but it's a story and concept that has staying power, boasting some great Stan Winston designs. And crossing the Preds with the Alien universe was really a stroke of genius despite the resulting films. Still some of the best modern-day movie monsters.

I'd hope that the writers will craft a better payoff for Kim than simply writing her out of the show. There's no telling how deep and how crazy things will get for her and Jimmy next season. But I don't think where she's from and where Saul ends up are a coincidence.

The fact is, she isn't just complicit (after the fact or not), but from landing the Mesa Verde account, she has benefited directly from what Jimmy's been pulling in his battle with Chuck.

I still like the fan theory that someone had here, extrapolated on by me, that Kim survives BCS but returns home to Nebraska for some reason. It can't be a coincidence, after all, that that's where Saul's new post-BB life has set him up, where he works in the Cinnabon. They will reunite there at the end of this show

That's what I'm thinking.

And without rinsing the glass out either! Leaving it for Papi to do, eh??

I'm surprised nobody talks more about Jimmy and Kim's relationship. I mean, they're lawyers sharing the same space, but there's also their romantic relationship. Obviously they spend time together as a couple of sorts, as well as spend the night together. They have kind of an interesting unspoken boyfriend /

"This show is gonna have to find a way to make people root for him, because right now it's extremely difficult (at least for me) to do so." - I felt the same way about Walt's general dickishness that became very hard to root for come season 5 of Breaking Bad. By the end I was rooting for Walt again, of course. Doing

Howard for the next BB spin-off:

Not true. She was directly aligned with what Jimmy did to wreck Chuck: she knew he switched the numbers in the Mesa Verde docs to make Chuck look befuddled in court, and she went all in on Jimmy making Chuck look bad in front of the bar inquiry. The show outlined her guilt over landing Mesa Verde for what Jimmy did to

I was thinking when Howard said the Gollum line that this era in the show's timeframe would've been right at the height of the popularity of the original Lord Of The Rings films, haha.

Fair prediction—but something tells me Gilligan would have no problem with killing his little darlings on any show though, regardless of whether she's one of the few likable characters left (and that's despite the considerably shady stuff she's gotten up to with Jimmy).

I think just about everyone was anticipating it, but not the way it was done, which was very well and very scary!

Same—in my near-fatal car accident a few years back, I was tooling along, came upon a dump truck making a left turn in front of me into my lane, and then woke up to first-responders asking me my name, having pulled me out of a shattered Camaro (though I didn't fall asleep, just had no time to react at the speed I was

I think it's rather obvious that she's been running herself so ragged that she passed out behind the wheel. Hence, Jimmy's comment that she had been "pulling an all-nighter" again.

A few thoughts before I read the review..

Thank you, sir or madam

My rating:

I thought these early episodes were pretty shaky. After having watched all of Season 5, it gets better after this. They kinda dragged the election / hacking stuff out a little too long over Seasons 4 & 5.

Saw it last night, and I have to agree with this review. At 130+ minutes, it's too long. It skimps slightly on the world-building of Thymiscara, and gets bogged down way too much in other scenes. Captain America: The First Avenger and Thor do certainly seem to be the templates for this film.
