There was probably an in-house monitor with the sidekicks edited in which allowed the judges could see exactly what we saw at home.

I think the Top 3 were chosen almost entirely by who made Ru and Co. laugh the hardest.
Alexis is the first queen in herstory I want to kai kai out of drag. (Pearl was too pretty for me.)
The mini challenges are so essential. Alaska was able to distinguish herself in minis (Reading is Fundamental, Lil Poundcake) in a way that eluded her for quite some time where runway and maxi challenges were concerned. She was the last of the top 7 queens that year to win a challenge, and I really think the minis…
Dad's not a fan of Shakespeare, then?
It was still a waste. It would've been amazing to see her coach them in a comedy acting challenge. She could've been the good cop to Michelle's bad cop.
Er, I must've forgotten it entirely… which is a statement in and of itself.
Oliver asserted as much in last season's review of the episode, but whatevs.
The Season 8 LSFYL to Sylvester's "You Make Me Feel (Mighty Real)" was the first male song. Bowie or Prince would be great to see. Also Queen. Between those developments, Season 7's beard runway, Kennedy Davenport's Snatch Game win as Little Richard, I think the show's growing more comfortable with true genderf*ck,…
I might be wrong, but I'm feeling as though Kudrow's cameo for the sole purpose of explaining one of Ru's catchphrases, was part of this season's ongoing attempts to spoonfeed drag culture in general and RPDR in particular to a mainstream audience now that it's moved from Logo to VH1. Ditto for various aspects of…
Now that you say that, I can't stop picturing her as Latina Daphne from Scooby Doo.
Aja hosted the episode at the bar where I was watching, and she read herself to filth for her hair and makeup during the early episodes. She seems to have upped her game since the show, and I was gagging on/coveting various aspects of her in-person look. Hopefully, we'll get to see that improvement on air as well.
It's the first time in herstory that neither queen has slayed a song sung by a guest panel judge, which was highly disappointing, not least because Love Shack is one of my karaoke go-to tunes.
Everyone in the bar I was watching from shouted for them both to sashay. That LSFYL belonged in the Vivianne Pinay Hall of Fame.
Which, come to think of it, is probably why Jaymes sashayed. I predicted Kimora would slay over Jaymes until Ru announced the song was Love Shack, at which point I thought it was Jaymes' performance to lose. If you're handed it on a platter, and you still can't serve, it's the right decision to send you packing.
What's astounding is how complex it was to put together given the lackluster results. I watched at Monster Bar in NYC with Aja hosting and serving tea during commercial breaks. She said that while most episodes take 2 days to film, this one took 5 full days of rehearsal and all the queens had to sign a liability…
I watched it on Logo's YouTube channel.
If there's one show that doesn't need to be in HD, it's RPDR. Drag is meant for dimly lit nightclubs. It feeds the illusion, the suspension of disbelief. I spent half the episode clocking every acne scar, every five o'clock shadow, every boob contour. The Season 1 Vaseline lens was preferable to this.
That line reading made me so uncomfortable.
I'd rather see what Dax could show with a do-over than Cynthia.
