Something else that is probably at play here is that the Doppleganger may have assumed Cooper would return with all his mental faculties in place, and that Coooer would assume that the "Dougie Jones" he had replaced was the Doppleganger himself. Thus, he wouldn't bother looking for him, and by the time he realized

But I bet you can tell us where we can supposedly read all about it, can't you?

He's turning into a Diamond Dog.

Some people are just assuming that, but I doubt Bob is gone. Without Bob, Dark Coop is probably just another human clone with no special powers to speak of, other than the attributes and naturally developed abilities of Dale Coooer used in a very dark, negative sense..

Two possibilities
1. Nurses and doctors, techs, aides, etc. doing their daily and nightly rounds and discussing the news of the day and her subconscious picking it up.

It was just so fucking corny. And where did the fucking bass come from anyway?

Nobody gives a good fuck what you think, including McLachlan.

That could be her subconscious picking up snippets of conversation around her in the hospital and creating her own personal scenarios.

I think we'll be watching Nadine cooing over a Doctor Amp broadcast, then we'll hear some sudden static, followed by "This is the water", etc.

The one made of creamed corn?

Which made me wonder when the Double R will burn down.

Very well put.

Doppleganger Andy never cries.

What got ne was that weird fucking noise that repeated right at the end of each replay. Spooky as fuck.

I'm going with Doppleganger Laura in the kitchen.

I knew before the first episode aired there would be self-identified Twin Peaks fans pulling this shit. And, while this might sound like paranoia, I'm pretty sure a good lot of them knew it themselves.

I've made peace with the idea Agent Cooper can't return until Dark Coop has been defeated. I think if we ever see a face-to-face meeting between the two, Agent Cooper/Dougie will defeat the Doppleganger as easily as "Mr. C" dispatched the hapless thug in this episode.

What if one already has?

The answer, of course, should be BOB, MIKE, or I AM THE ARM.

That scene was so fucking funny I literally LOL'ed, which is rare for me.
