In some pop mythologies, all the women are human on top and fish on bottom whereas the men f the same species have two legs, fish eyes, fish lips, no nose, gills, fins on the head, and scales.

Look at it this way: anyone drawn in by this pitch is bound to go up a few IQ points by the end of the first cold open.
I think the person really sold out by this is Allison Brie, who is a lot more than a pretty face. But she's strong enough to take the hit.

In fact, I'm suddenly thinking about those "real life super-hero" neighborhood watch groups and the thought occurs to me that Abed and Gilbert would probably start one of those and you'd probably wind up with super-hero Garrett and Professor Eustice Whitman as Dr. Utonium/Mr. Fantastic type.

You guys notice how heavy the Annie/Abed subtext is this season?

When finally pushed to conform, they won't. But they need that push to or it might as well be a

Expanding my rant, "Better Off Ted" is farce. "How I Met Your Mother" — when it works — is farcically sentimental.

My understanding with the Chuck thing was that they wanted Sabre to go for a bargain basement move by pairing with a cancelled show. They spitballed a few but "Chuck" was the one they were able to get the rights to use on the show.

I think the actor who plays the daughter will play the mother. She filmed her stuff as the daughter, including her scenes as the daughter to be used in the final episode, years ago. She's 25 now. They might age her slightly or tweak her nose a bit with prosthesis but she'll be instantly familiar.

The relationship focus is nice but does it feel weird to anyone else that Ted has two jobs and we haven't seen him do anything with either of them aside from the Ewok episode?
