If by locking up you mean it freezing when loading the map there is a simple fix to that if you are using wireless.

Hmm... I was gonna go and visit my family, but I got sick and had to stay in my apartment with my girlfriend. So I am spending my Thanksgiving being forced to watch My Super Sweet 16 and other crap on TLC.
