The Time Person of the Year should be a collage of all of this year’s child-rape apologists.

TEMPE-Asked waiter at BW3: “God, did you hear about Greg Schiano?”

He’s my new favorite player in the NBA.

That’s horrible.

Greatest pitcher I had the privilege of seeing live. He was such a workhorse. All those CGSOs. He had a mystic way of getting batters to follow his speed. As soon as he got the ball back he was ready to throw another. It was like the universe moved at a slower rhythm than he did. It seemed that every time he pitched,

Although he may best be remembered for his no hitter/perfect game with the Phillies, Halladay will always be a Blue Jay, especially since he was still flying south for the winter.

This sucks in a way that’s hard to put into words. Halladay is someone I’d have driven to Cooperstown to see his induction. A personal hero from back when I still had those.

Should’ve been you, Curt Schilling.

I’m conflicted. One one hand, that was the coolest shit I’ve ever seen. On the other, those players kneeling during a foofy pregame ritual was deeply upsetting.

For what it’s worth, I think he was trying to be funny, and I have been laughing my ass off about this video for going on nine hours, now.

“I fought to protect the freedoms you enjoy in this country, so you better stop fucking enjoying them!”

This is basically the text version of what Gurriel just did, doubling down on the mildly racist joke.

At this rate his 6th or 7th apology is going to be fairly workable.

Yeah... This is pretty racist.

Having graduated in college in 2005, I had both the Tucker Max and Maddox books. I would like to believe I wasn’t as much of a POS as they were, but as I was gleefully gorging on their materials, its hard to argue otherwise. Great write-up on how things have and continue to change, and the accountability many of us

Excellent intro, Drew.

Drew, thank you so much for the honesty in this column. Being upfront and honest about the shitty things we’ve done is important. I have a lot of things to atone for, too, and this is inspiration to keep working on being better.

I’m never going to get used to that logo/uniform. Or the team name. Everything about this team seems like it belongs in a big-budget movie about professional hockey that wasn’t able to get an NHL licensing agreement.
