@ckcallen: That's a favorite one of mine, especially now that I use Google Docs more than Word. it's nice there because the address bar is right on the page with you.

@Flail: I'd check for a local United Way chapter. They tend to to be the major funders of local groups of do-gooders and often have their finger on the pulse of what the community needs. If you're in a community with a newspaper, check its community pages as well. My old newspaper had a weekly column called "Get Off

Does this thing bring anything new to the table as far as Android Twitter clients are concerned? I have Touiteur, and I'm pretty happy with it.

This is good to know. I always got into the habit of doing this, and my friends always told me I was doing it wrong.

I've been known to belabor over the decision of what to have for lunch for so long that the amount of time left in my lunch break made the decision for me.

@Aquifel: Check the nutrition info to be sure, but usually the only safe term is when it says 100% Whole Wheat.

@Hasteur: The Magicians and Mrs. Quent. It's like Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrel, but more so.

ManyEyes is powerful and nice looking, but has a bit of a learning curve. If all you're doing is making word clouds, Wordle or Tagxedo will spit stuff out faster.

I gave it a shot. It's a nice concept, but it doesn't work well in execution. It falls somewhere in between UI replacement and Launcher, and as a result does neither one well enough to warrant staying on my phone.

@Elery Branch: Wow, don't think I've ever had African beer. I'll keep my eye out for it.

The new city I'm in has a store with maybe one of the greatest beer selections I've ever seen. I'm talking hundreds, maybe thousands, of different brews from all around the world. They have an entire wall just for Belgium, one for UK, one for the rest of Europe and then a walk-in-fridge of just America.

@Wes: It's actually a pretty popular concept. They call them 1:1 programs where an entire district gets laptops or netbooks for everyone in a certain grade. Here in Iowa, there's about a dozen school districts with 1:1 programs.

@comodidit: I vote for Oak Creek. Maybe you'll find one of those new age vortices there (and maybe it has free wifi)

@liriel: I tried that and I was still at chest-level with the keyboard,

Vote: Prezi

I've had good luck with MS Paint Adventures ([www.mspaintadventures.com).] Not only do the elaborate flash segments seem to work pretty well, but since the 2.2 update the animated gif pages display much better too.

I tried using one at work for a while. It was great until I got moved to a different desk that was higher up. That's when I found a big flaw in the exercise ball: no height adjustment lever.

It's weird to think Chrome has only been out for a few years. I've gotten to the point where I have difficulty imagining myself using something else.

Looking at the features, it's nice to see Microsoft catching up. But at the same time, there's no killer app. There's no exclusive thing they have that other browsers don't like when Firefox first made the scene with tabbed browsing.

Rude and selfish is assuming everyone else's world revolves around you. I drive out to multiple locations for work, and even keeping with my usual "always get there five minutes early" approach, there are 1001 things that can delay you by ten minutes and make you late.
