The explody shield works in both directions. The shield and the laser gun both explode catastrophically. So unless the laser guy is lone suicide fighter, and drones/robots are forbidden for ideological reasons, no one would risk pointing a laser at something shielded.

Yep. I see no problem at all with what she said - i.e. she thinks what she thinks, and her libido works the way it wants to.  No-one wants a lecture about why the things which turn them on are “wrong”, and anyone who keeps giving one is going to find himself without a girlfriend.
