It's on the wrong coast, since Oldtown is on the southwest coast. Sam would have to travel almost the entire length of the continent (including through Lannister territory) to get to Eastwatch. That said, he could head towards Dragonstone, since he doesn't know that Jon has already gone to collect the dragonglass.

And has nothing to do with Caesar.

He hadn't even done that, he just took Dany's proposal back to Cercei - who in turn appeared to go along with it (so she can stab Dany in the back later). Apart from not killing Tyrion on the spot (cos he knows he is innocent of one crime, and sort-of defensible for the other), I don't think Jaime had actually

How exactly does Cercei think that Jaime betrayed her?

"The last few days months have been pretty harrowing for people who believe in the basic good stuff that America is supposed to be all about.."

I can't do that Dave…

Is this theory just because the weapon is a scorpion? Pretty sure that the Romans had one of the with that name, and it wasn't poisoned.

Except that simultaneously, it really isn't annoying as well.

IKEA carpets, apparently…

I think it's a kind of rainforest wood.

Well, if you had to empty bed pans every day for 30 years, you'd get pretty cross too.

Astronomical. Astrological would be horoscope bullshit… which is actually closer to what is going on with the GoT winters.

Pretty sure it's not supposed to be natural. Sauron threw them up. The bad guys do a lot of "marring" the world and building dark kingdoms for themselves in the olden days.

Most people don't see either at all. Gandalf is the archetypal magic user in the story but doesn't fling fireballs around (apart from actual fireballs). Balrogs, wraiths and the like aren't a common occurrence.

Tolkien specifically removed all references from religions and cults, as he said the whole story was a spiritual one. Having actual priests and gods would distract from that.

Telling them ASAP (invent a non-checkable lie if you have to, perhaps based on your partner, or there is a massive work contract that has to go out that weekend etc etc). Either way, they now have two free places they can fill with a casual aquaintance/friend of her sister etc who didn't make the first cut of guests.

Do it, and say exactly what you have said up there. Perhaps add something along the lines of "I didn't want to disrupt your life with my drama when we barely know each other. That's all done and I'd like to meet up again."

I thought he was spot on when he intimated the writer was only in such a relationship because that was the only way she could be with that particular guy. She chose the guy, not the lifestyle, and it's really hurting her.
