It isn't important unless a celebrity says it I guess. Go back to sleep.

Astaire was the favorite singer of a number of composers. Some quotes I dug up:

But he tried, God knows he tried.

His publicist wrangled an invite from some gullible senator's staff member but that doesn't mean the rest of the committee has to stick around and waste their time listening to him.

Before the Tonight Show format became calcified Carson would have on his group of regulars (and CNR was one) all the time whether they had something to plug or not and they would just come on, tell stories and shoot the breeze. You can't go wrong by watching all the films Grant made with:
Hawks - Bring Up Baby, His Girl Friday, Only Angles Have Wings, Monkey Business and I was a Male War Bride.
Hitchcock - Notorious, Suspicion and North by Northwest
McCarey - The Awful Truth, An Affair to Remember, Once Upon a Honeymoon
Stevens. - Gunga Din,

beyond the HFPA’s dubious standards for quality

He was pretty terrible in Ryan's Daughter, which otherwise is a pretty underrated film.
