I'd find someone else with $544k sitting around so each of us can buy half a Ferrari 288 GTO.

This:

For the back markers, having a little more talent isn't worth it, since their car is the primary reason for them being in the back, it's really not the drivers fault. Put any other championship driver in their equipment and you would maybe get marginally better results (finishing 14th instead of 18th, but it's still

The pay driver issue has me a bit conflicted. On one side, the money allows teams like Marussia to exist, and that is good for the sport. I would be really annoyed only watching the billion dollar powerhouses. On the other hand, it doesn't always allow the best drivers to compete in the pinnacle of motorsport.

How is this unfortunate? Racing costs money, and even at the highest level, is just a really expensive hobby. It's not like Alexander Rossi was depending on this ride to have grocery or rent money. He'll be fine, and life as a race car driver who doesn't make it to F1 is still better than it is for pretty much

I think you're being a little naive, we've had paid drivers for a long time and I can't see that changing anytime in the near future. Also, lets not forget the reason Rossi was getting the drive was because he was paying for it, he wasn't getting it because he's a supernatural talent.

One can hope. My son wants to be a pro driver and I'm not rich enough to take him far enough.

He still has to qualify right? So it is not like he could be that bad.

It has become a game of "who knows who" or rather, "who is related to who". I think it's very hard to break into any big racing series without having the connections or enough money to buy your way in. In all honesty it's probably a mix of both now. While racing has generally always been a sport for those with the

I wish VT would allow it. Wasn't Rally America started in Williston, VT? I live right near Vermont Sports Car and have always wished for something to begin in this state.

Everywhere needs more rally.

Here' my 93 Classic wagon (#1141/1600)

At first I thought the stairs in the background were mounted to the roof of the car like some sort of ridiculous Top Gear stunt.

One of the better known 240 hoonwagons. Also, yay pics!

They should have an option to fill these up with massive "Heritage Drum Brakes" for those who want a taste of yesteryear.

Come to RI (or Fall River) and try it with chourico. Chourico makes everything better.
