I’m not into pornographic stuff, but I have to agree with you on this. the US’s perversion of violence is insane. I’d much rather see genitalia on screen than some dude getting his intestines ripped out. Sex is a natural part of life while violence shouldn’t be.

I do. Honestly, it’s the same thing (to me) as a cake decorator not wanting to put those edible photo things of pornography on a cake and sell it. That wouldn’t go over well in a display case :P

Although I really can’t stand those pornographic games, I do believe that there should be a way for people who like them to get a hold of them somehow. If there was a way to make absolutely sure that those games couldn’t fall into the hands of any one under 18 (in the US) I’d be fine with it and avoid them as usual.

I always loved Twilight Princess Zelda. She seemed so badass! Same with OOT Zelda when you’re in the castle and she’s shooting everything with her bow. I definitely want no-nonsense Zelda back!

Meh... I’d rather play as Zelda. I’m fine with Link being male and would rather see them switch up the plot of a Zelda title (Zelda has to save link? or Zelda and Link go on an adventure together and you have to switch between the two depending on the puzzle you encounter?) than play a regular Zelda game as Linkle.

I’m trying so hard to resist downloading this game right now... I’ve loved every single Mario & Luigi game I’ve played!

If it was truly about self discovery as a bisexual woman then why can’t a female character romance her at all? (genuine question)

A local church in my early teens. Though that certainly wasn’t the only thing they did to try to make me straight. Since then I’ve been apologized to by many of the people who were involved but... It happens more often than you might think.

Honestly, her sexual orientation doesn’t matter one way or the other. What matters is, as I said above, the player character drugs her in an attempt to control her impulses towards women. No matter what the PC’s intentions are this is still problematic and hints at conversion therapy. There’s just no way to justify

Yes, and she didn’t ask him to drug her. Asking for help and asking for drugs are two different things.

It’s not the conversation that’s the problem. The problem is drugging her without her consent in an effort to change the way she reacts around women.

I’ve personally experienced this. So yea, it happens.

Is the situation that different? Plenty of LGBTQ people get drugged in an attempt to change their sexual orientation. I definitely think that’s a problem.

I chalk it up to being similar to rape jokes. Maybe it’s funny for some one who has never been raped but it sure as hell isn’t for some one who has. It’s not overreacting at all, IMO.

Thank you... I HATE when devs make women’s boobs overly large and jiggly. I mean, I like boobs as much as the next lesbian but come on! Those exaggerated ones aren’t even sexy IMO.

Drugging some one without their consent is never harmless, no matter what the intentions.

The lesbian option is crazy...? I think I’ll just make a feminine male character and pretend he’s female :/

Hm, still seems like conversion therapy to me. Sure, she may not be romantically attracted to women, but she’s obviously sexually attracted to them. It seems like “here’s this drug to help you control your sexual impulses towards women” to me, which is literally something that conversion therapy victims go through

I’m glad NOA was able to see how problematic this scene was and had the good sense to change it. The implication that you can cure same-sex infatuation with a drug is disgusting and incredibly harmful to the LGBTQ community.

As a lesbian who has experienced this “minor joke” (aka conversion therapy) first hand as a teenager I would just like to say that there is NOTHING funny about this shit. It’s not about being PC, it’s about not making light of this horrific thing that thousands, if not millions, of homosexuals have been subjected to
